GOD, COUNTRY & TRUMP: Bullied by Howard University Alum for A Call to Pray for Trump

The liberal left pretends that they oppose bullying with all their hearts and souls, the truth is far darker: the left, in my opinion, is the greatest purveyor of bullying in modern American history. Bullying has morphed into the left’s go-to tactic, as they attempt to smash their opponents through fear, threat of force, violence, and rhetorical intimidation on every major issue facing America today.

This bullying has no end and spares no detail often being petty, trivial tropes and comments that don’t refute or attack ideology or fact but personhood and esteem.

In October I made a video simply beckoning those who purport to be of the Christian faith to pray for the president. Here is what I said, it was not partisan at all and more moral than political.

I attend Howard University one of the top HBCUs in that nation. I am proud Bison and a proud black American and above all, I am a proud, bold Christian. My faith is my focus. I love Jesus Christ with all of my heart. Accepting him as the way to relationship with God at nine years old has literally preserved my life. None of this mattered though to a graduate of this institution. She seemingly found fault in this moral and neutral call to pray for the president (you can view what she said on the right)

In seeing the bullying and the attack via social media I must echo the words of Justice Clarence Thomas; “it is a hightech lynching (today social media is used way too often) for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you”.

It appears that because I am black, nevermind that I am a Christian and a man of faith, I don’t have the right to pray for the president of the country in which I reside. As can been seen I was vilified, bullied and deemed a “coon” and “uncle tom” (these are the nicer terms) simply because I believe in the scripture; “Pray this way for rulers and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity” (1 Timothy 2:2).

Politics should never cause one to comprise their spiritual duty. One’s hate or love for a president does not negate the fact that they are in power and they are making decisions that affect the lives of millions and ultimately the work of God. But here is the manifestation and fruit of a political cognitive dissonance—slaver syndrome and grueling groupthink. If you don’t think like us you can’t be with us. It’s discrimination, it’s hate, it’s not the ideals of the United States of America and it is, in my opinion of the antichrist spirit.

Ben Shapiro’s book BULLIES advocates for this assertion.

Let us pray for our country and our president. It’s righteous.
