SENATOR SELLOUT: Kamala Harris and Her Play For Power

By her own standards, Kamala Harris has just joined the presidential campaign of a racist serial sexual abuser.

Joe Biden has selected Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate, ending on Tuesday months of speculation that the former California attorney general and failed Democratic presidential candidate would join his ticket.

“I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate,” Biden said in a tweet Tuesday evening announcing the news.

“Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau,” he said, referring to his late son who served as attorney general of Delaware while Harris held the same role in California.

“I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign,” Biden wrote.

Biden and Harris appeared together Wednesday in Wilmington, Delaware, for their first event together as running mates, according to a report by the New York Post .

In a brief tweet, Harris said she was honored to join Biden’s ticket.

“Joe Biden can unify the American people because he’s spent his life fighting for us. And as president, he’ll build an America that lives up to our ideals,” she wrote.

“I’m honored to join him as our party’s nominee for Vice President and do what it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief,” she added.

Harris brings a certain pushes the campaign forward and brings a certain level of token diversity to Biden’s ticket as the 77-year-old presidential candidate faces scrutiny over his advanced age and obvious mental decline.

But due to her critical nature of Biden racist record and the fact that she believed Biden’s sexual assault accusers one must ask how could a woman of any ethical superiority accept this position? What changed? Is Biden truly racist, bigoted, or a sexual assault perpetrator? Did she just say things she didn’t believe or did she abandon all convictions for a seat of power?

As mentioned in the New York Post, it was during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings that we first learned that Harris harbors serious presidential aspirations. Her cross-examination of the future justice went viral, prompting Politico to speculate: “Kamala Harris Rides Kavanaugh Rage in Likely 2020 Bid.”

She later explained her hard-line position in an Atlantic magazine interview. Sexual assault, she said, “is an issue right now that is where the issue of domestic violence was about 30 years ago. … There was a perception about domestic violence: ‘Oh, you know, what happens in the king’s castle is the king’s business. That’s private business. That’s not our business.’ But then we evolved as a society…I believe this is an inflection moment on the issue of sexual assault.”

The explicitly stated assumption behind all this was that the allegations against Kavanaugh, spurious, unproved and uncorroborated though they were, had to be believed — because women had made them.

Harris beefed up her #MeToo credentials later, making it clear she doesn’t just believe women accusing Republicans of sexual assault. All women had to be believed, including those who accused prominent Democrats. At a campaign event in Nevada in April 2019, Harris discussed the allegations against Biden, declaring of the accusers: “I believe them, and I respect them being able to tell their story and having the courage to do it.”

So Biden is an abuser — because women have accused him, and all women should be believed. Right? So what has changed since then?

One must ask is it this offer of a potential seat of power that caused her championing of women’s and civil rights to be abandoned? The answer will become more and more obvious as, hopefully, she is asked to address her glaring political grifting.

The Democratic ticket, unlike any time before, shows us what a person will do in pursuit of power; abandon all convictions and ignore all previous assertions. The left calls this level of selling out honorable and unifying; this kind of tokenism they call historic. It’s quite the hypocritical dichotomy.

In the age of a Democratic Party that is calling to “defund the police” and a platform that heralds Black Lives Matter two people whose polices have directly and drastically increased the incarceration of Black Americans are nominated. Biden notoriously led a decades-long legislative effort, culminating in his co-writing the 1994 crime bill that critics claim was the impetus for mass incarceration that disproportionately affects the Black community.

Harris wasn’t necessarily the tough-on-crime attorney general but rather she was habitually abusing and expanding her power. As many have noted there’s a major difference between supporting “law and order” (currently a hallmark of the conservative platform) and supporting and engaging in a police state. The latter is Kamala’s record. She in many ways and for many years presided over police state that targets and uses unethical tactics to secure & sustain “prosecutions” & further one’s personal gain.

Harris opposed California laws requiring her office investigate shootings involving officers — which sounds pretty topical to me. Harris also has a long history of unlawful convictions; with the unlawful conviction of Jamal Trulove being one of the most prominent.

There are millions of people in this country who have been victims of police or prosecutorial misconduct from the likes of Kamala Harris; especially Black people! It’ll be interesting how Black America responds to “the party of the poor and oppressed” nominating a bigoted Biden and a horrible (phony) Harris as potential president and vice president.

As an article published in the National Review says; there is no power Harris has held that she hasn’t abused. And considering Biden’s age and questions about his cognitive abilities — issues already part of the presidential campaign — it’s likely that Harris’s record will hold more importance than the typical vice-presidential candidate.

By Harris’ own standards she has just joined the presidential campaign of a racist serial sexual abuser. Watching Senator Sellout spend this debacle waiting to happen will be the highlight of this election cycle.
